1. The Fifth Annual Meeting of Magic Net took place in Tallinn / Estonia from June 7th – June 10th. VAT Theatre, the Estonian Magic Net-partner, was the host of that assembly where nearly 100 colleagues from 12 European nations met for further planning, workshops, talks and for an extraordinary co-production: The national library, where VAT theatre is located, was the venue for the performance of “Hidden Stories”- a production that contained 12minutes-parts from every Magic Net-theatre. 2. The Turkish Magic Net-partner Theatre Oyunevi from Istanbul was invited in one of the most important festivals for contemporary European theatre: During the festival “New plays from Europe” they showed their production “Revenge” with big success in Wiesbaden/Germany.
3. At the end of July the last rehearsals for the Magic Net-co-production started in Molde/Norway. The opening night “America”, based on Franz Kafkas famous novel, under the directorship of Manuel Schöbel (Germany) with the participation of actors from Norway, Germany, Poland, Switzerland and Slovakia took place on a big Scandinavian ferryboat on July 13th.
4. A directors workshop under the theme “Gramelot” conducted by Jo Strømgen / Norway is planned in Molde, Norway from August 17th - 21st.. Directors from all Magic Net-theatres will take part.
5. “Youth for Europe” will support the Magic Net-Youth encounter in the Netherlands in October 06.
