MUZ, which celebrated its twentieth birthday in 2004, is now an established institution in the Zaandam area. From our artistic base in Zaandam we create modern productions that appeal to people's imagination and provide a theatrical reflection of contemporary reality, ranging from new repertoire (mainly Dutch) to adaptations of the classics. Raw and passionate, but also moving and sprinkled with humour. MUZtheater productions regularly feature a combination of physical acting, sound compositions and multimedia.
Each season we stage two or three productions at home and abroad, performing at secondary schools, theatres and festivals. Unusual venues (especially outdoors) are proving increasingly popular.
